The ones that design and build your houses have some important things to tell you. |
Architecture is a field of work that requires people capable of taking ideas and to transform them into something distinctive for every client. They are always on top of every trend and turn the inspiration that nature and the client provides into something logical, applying every bit of knowledge they have about construction, balance and symmetry to make a space look stylish and great, different from everything else while at the same time being just perfect for those who request their expertise.
But, as a client, you need to know these three basic things when you are working with one of these specialist in construction. They want you to feel safe when you work with them, and comfortable, and what better way to do that than knowing what follows? So read ahead and find more about it! We’ve invited an expert to give his professional opinion on this subject: Architect Lino Caceres.
Your input is important
Architects can design spaces and properties with their imagination, yet that doesn’t guarantee that what they want for it it’s the same thing that you wish for. “Architects by definition, design spaces to be inhabited”, an architect’s opinion; that’s why they need you to share your idea and lifestyle when you contact them, and throughout the whole process. For both parties, the lines of communication should be open and transparent, as clients need to feel that they can trust them with every detail, and if they want something in particular or not in their rooms. “In that sense, those who will live in them need to feel pleased with the results, understanding that taste can never overstep constructive logic.” says Lino Caceres.
We look for functionality
Rooms that are pretty to look at but that have no real use are a waste of time and space, and architects know this better than anyone in the market. “There’s a wrong tendency to add adjectives to architecture: ‘Functional’, ‘green’, ‘wow!’ when in fact architecture MUST BE functional, conscious of weather and materials” it’s Caceres’ thought, and he knows better than anyone that there are people that look at floorplans like possibilities, and have a list of expectations on what their clients want, as well as personal notes on their lifestyles and habits that they pick from the chats with the people who hire them. “Our designs should inspire feelings, otherwise, it’s just another construction” it’s his last comment on this subject.
We are transparent
Most people assume that these specialists just do the building, but in reality, their work entangles many things that aren’t noticeable at first, about this, our expert has his input: “Architects offer a service that sometimes is intangible, and that can lead to misunderstandings”. They make sure that everything is clear from the start, and that the contract that they make with the client states every pertinent information about the work they will be doing. “For that reason, it’s important to put everything clear from the beginning, that way the client knows what they’ll get and can have control over it” says Caceres.
There are a lot of other things that architects want you to know, and after you find the perfect one for your needs, you need to visit Vivere Furniture & Design to find the pieces of furniture that will match the design that they'll create for you.
