Most of us are all hopeless romantics when it comes to memories and the items that represent them, so we want to keep them close to us, in places where we can enjoy them at anytime and showcase them to the people that come into our spaces. To me it’s incredibly important to make sure to share with others the stories of our lives, whether that is through photos or through pieces of furniture. When I thought of where I could place those valuable objects that represented my beloved memories, I made sure to find the perfect furniture to place them and give them the rightful spot they deserved.

When I started to work in the interior design world itself, I saw the potential memories had and what they meant to people throughout their lives. Exploring this and taking into consideration the emotions attached to certain pieces of decor, I thought that tying them to the design through small pieces placed here and there, and then adding something that would make people feel at home, like a piece with the same spirit of ones they’ve owned in the past, or a sofa that combines perfectly with that vintage armchair that they inherited from a relative, was my way to pay homage to those memories.

It was a whole world of possibilities, and one I could explore listening to the people that I was working for: the history behind their memories, the things they loved the most when they were younger and so on. It was incredible to see how the results turned into something that could be translated into a room with the perfect feeling of uniqueness and love, where the care and work put into it could be easily shown. I managed to do so through the placing of an exhibitor with pictures of family members, so the people that lived there could feel the memories close to them at anytime.
